The Ministry of Production of Corrientes trained 120 forestry workers from the Garabí Group in Gobernador Virasoro, with the aim of strengthening knowledge and response capabilities against rural and forest fires.
The activity took place over two days and included theoretical and practical instances linked to prevention, initial combat and safe management of fire. The director of Forest Resources, Roberto Rojas, highlighted the importance of training personnel who carry out daily tasks in productive and forestry areas. Training is one of the main tools we have to prevent fires and ensure that, in the event of an emergency, workers can act in an organized, safe and efficient manner from the first minutes, he noted. During the training, techniques and procedures for initial combat, proper use were addressed. of tools and equipment, personal protection measures and good practices aimed at reducing the possibilities of fire spread. These actions are carried out by the Directorate of Forest Resources, dependent on the Secretariat of Industrial Forestry Development of the Ministry of Production, within the framework of the Rural Fire Prevention Program. The initiative aims to permanently strengthen prevention and response capacity throughout the provincial territory, protecting people, productive areas and the natural resources of Corrientes.
