Between Rivers | With a historical photographic exhibition, the Federation will honor wood workers
As part of the commemoration of the Wood Industry Workers Day, which will be celebrated next Sunday, August 2, the José María Dalorso Settlement Museum of Federación will pay tribute to those who were protagonists of one of the most important productive activities in the history of the city. A historical photographic exhibition, integrated into the museums permanent exhibition, which will allow residents and visitors to travel through different moments in the development of the logging industry and remember the efforts of generations of workers who marked the identity of the old Federation.
The exhibition proposes a journey through the collective memory of the city through images that reflect the evolution of an activity that was the driving force of the economic and social growth of the region. Among the photographs that make up the exhibition, records from the time of the jangadas stand out, when the logs were transported by water courses; images of the sawmills and storage areas, where wood processing took place in the old city; and scenes that portray the daily work of logging workers in the different stages of the activity. The initiative seeks to value the historical heritage of the Federation and recognize the efforts of those who made the wood industry one of the pillars of local development. Free and free entry The exhibition can be visited during the weekend at the facilities of the José María Dalorso Settlement Museum, located at the intersection of Irigoyen and Las Rosas, with free and free entry.
