Missions | They formed the first Forest Management table to optimize the processing of forest use plans

The Forest Management Table is part of a Ministry strategy aimed at consolidating a work scheme based on transparency, process traceability and technical professionalism, with the aim of providing greater predictability in administrative procedures. Within this framework, the director of Native Forests, Milton Morán, highlighted the importance of generating instances of exchange with professionals in the sector. The objective is to strengthen dialogue to bring together the concerns that professionals have in the processing of files within the Ministry. That is why we take note of each proposal to optimize management times and benefit both private parties, technicians and the organization itself, he noted. He also added that during the meeting different aspects linked to the processing of forestry plans were addressed and he stressed that the idea is to advance in the optimization of processes to improve the general functioning of the system. From the professional level, the creation of this space was received with expectation. For those who work on the preparation and presentation of technical documentation, the table represents an opportunity to improve coordination with the public body and resolve obstacles that usually slow down the procedures. Forestry engineer José Ruiz considered that the meeting made it possible to identify various aspects that can be strengthened in areas such as forestry use, land use change and conservation strategies. One of the central aspects is to advance in better internal coordination between the different areas of the Ministry of Ecology, which will facilitate the processes for private activity and reduce the costs associated with the processing of files, he said. In addition, he considered that "this first meeting was very necessary to be able to advance the projects, he said. In that sense, he described the inaugural meeting as a necessary step to unblock procedures and facilitate the advancement of new projects. The first meeting of the Forest Management Board had the participation of the Minister of Ecology of Misiones, Martín Recamán, along with authorities from the Colleges of Agricultural and Forestry Engineers. Among the participants, was the Undersecretary of Territorial Planning, Lucas Russo; and the director of Native Forests, Milton Morán, together with his technical team and representatives of the General Directorate of Legal Affairs. References from the sector also participated, including the president of the College of Agricultural Engineers, Mario Alsina, and the vice president of the College of Forestry Engineers, Graciela Flores, as well as technicians from the private sector and professionals from the Ministry. The presence of these actors reflects the shared interest in moving towards a more agile, transparent and efficient forest management model, key for the future of the Parana Forest. and the sustainable development of the province.
