
Germany | With more than 1,337 exhibitors and innovations for the wood industry, it will open in May in Hannover Ligna 2025
While visitors begin to plan their visits to the fair in the coming weeks, the exhibitors and organizers of the Ligna 2025 are entering the final stretch of the preparations. The world leader for the carpentry industry and wood processing, jointly organized by Deutsche Messe and the VDMA Woodworking Machinery in Hannover, will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025.
The high level of inscriptions for the fair is especially encouraging: today, March 7, 2025, 1,337 exhibitors have registered for the anniversary edition of the World Lady Fair of the carpentry industry and the processing of wood. This means that this years number of exhibitors has exceeded the previous edition, 1,288 exhibitors in 2023.Tradionally, two thirds of the exhibiting companies are foreigners, while one third is headquarters in Germany. «This year, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Fair, Ligna exhibitors are expected to be a very important participation. Taking into account the general economic environment and the extremely tense situation in the carpentry sector and the processing of wood, this exceeded our expectations, ?says Stephanie Wagner, director of Ligna at Deutsche Messe.Ligna 2025 is demonstrating an interest of the exhibitors that is really extraordinary. Together with the VDMA Wood Machinery Association, the organizers are very happy for the sector, which remains united and sends a clear sign of commitment to the fair. We are sure that product innovations and the strong motivation of all exhibitors will help boost the change of the sector in the ligna and, at the same time, they will positively influence the disposition of visitors to invest, add Wagner. As in each edition, in the Expo the entire range of products and services will be presented for the primary and secondary industry: tools, machines and systems for the production Surfaces, wooden boards production, sawmill technology, energy from wood, machine components and automation technology, as well as machines and systems for silviculture.
