Uruforest 2024 in Colonia | Outstanding international experts will analyze projections of the forestry sector in the Regional Forum

Colonia del Sacramento prepares to receive the largest Forest Fair in Uruguay, which will be held from October 9 to 12 in the frame The region will congregate more than 200 companies and receive some 25,000 visitors from more than 10 countries. From October 9 to 12, the Uruforest 2024, the Agro and the Environment Fair will be held, and in that framework they organize the Regional Forest Forum at the Sheraton Hotel in Colonia del Sacramento.

This forum, which will take place during the morning, will be attended by prominent international experts such as Martin Forsén, Ignacio Munyo, Rodrig forestry industry for the next 40 years. MARTIN FORSEN is president of Silvipar AB and global reference of the sector, who will share his vision on opportunities and challenges of forest development in the region. The themes of the forum: ? Global market for forest products ? Potential of investment in the region and new business modalities ? Strategic regional logistics challenges ? Green economy: environment and forest future. This forum seeks to highlight the importance of the forestry sector globally, explore investment trends in the region and face the logistic challenges that are coming, offering strategic analysis of the socioeconomic benefits that this industry can provide in the next decades. The Uruforest 2024 , which will have both static and dynamic exposure. With an extension of 75 hectares, of which 40 are forested in different stages of growth, the property will allow active demonstrations, facilitating the interaction between visitors and exhibitors. The event has the support of the Municipal Intendencia of Colonia and its different secretariats (Development, culture and tourism), as well as the declaration of national interest in the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries of the Government of Uruguay. «Uruforest 2024 will not only be a platform for the promotion of forest-industrial sustainability of Uruguay, but also a space for exchange and link with other productive sectors and society in general. For four days, the Fair will bring together key actors in the forestry sector, including professionals, academics, businessmen and public interested in innovation and sustainable development, ?explains Ignacio Acuña, one of the promoters and organizer of the event. With an adequate infrastructure for training activities, broad parking, and guaranteed operational security measures, Uruforest 2024 promises to be a high -impact event in the regional forest industry.
