TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Malaysian Wood Expo (MWE) 2019 will bring together industry shapers, technology experts and key decision-makers representing the wood industry.
Jointly organised by the Malaysian Timber Council and Panels & Furniture Group of wood magazines, the Malaysian Wood Expo is endorsed by the Ministry of Primary Industries Malaysia, the Malaysian Timber Industry Board (MTIB), Malaysian Wood Industries Association (MWIA), The Timber Exporters' Association of Malaysia (TEAM), The Malaysian Panel-Products Manufacturers' Association (MPMA), Malaysian Furniture Council (MFC), Malaysian Wood Moulding & Joinery Council (MWMJC), the Association of Malaysian Bumiputra Timber and Furniture Entrepreneurs (PEKA), and the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC).
With exports to over 160 countries, Malaysia’s exports of timber-based products hit RM22.3 billion in 2018 with Japan and the U.S. as the biggest markets followed by India, South Korea and China.
As the government aims for timber exports to reach RM25 billion by 2020, Malaysia’s timber industry players and manufacturers stay competitive by constantly seeking business opportunities and the newest advanced solutions. MWE 2019 is clearly a timely platform to converge these resources.
