Misteriosas esculturas de madera a partir de árboles muertos
Durante los últimos seis años, la ciudad ucraniana de Simferopol, se ha ido transformado en una galería de arte urbano gracias a un misterioso artista que talla estatuas de madera de troncos de árboles muertos. En la actualidad hay docenas de estas increíbles obras de arte diseminadas por toda la ciudad de Crimea.
Muchos ni se enteraron cuando las primeras obras de madera comenzaron a aparecer en diversas áreas de Simferopol, pero con el tiempo estas obras de arte fueron invadiendo la ciudad, y la gente comenzó a preguntarse ¿quién está detrás de esto? ¿Las autoridades locales, un grupo de arte o los árboles locales mágicamente se convierten en detalladas esculturas? Había todo tipo de rumores, hasta que los medios de comunicación locales finalmente lograron localizar al artista anónimo. Su nombre es Igor Dzheknavarov, y no es un escultor o carpintero entrenado, si no un cocinero.
– “La cocina es el arte más grande de todos“, dijo en tono de broma a los sorprendidos periodistas. “Si usted puede freír patatas, puede hacer cualquier cosa!” Hace diez años, Igor aprendió a esculpir y, hasta cierto punto empezó a usar su nueva habilidad para mejorar la apariencia de la ciudad. Él dice que es sólo un compañero de artista, el protagonista mismo es la naturaleza ya que todas sus obras se inspiran en las líneas únicas y los giros de los árboles esculpidos.
Al preguntarle sobre cómo decide que va a esculpir, el artista de Simferopolddijo que tiene la misma relación con la madera que Miguel Ángel tuvo con el mármol. Así cómo el miraba a un bloque de mármol y sabía que iba a convertirse en la Piedad o el David, él sabe en lo que un tronco de árbol se convertirá al momento en que lo ve. No sabe exactamente cuántas esculturas urbanas ha creado hasta ahora, pero también trabaja en paralelo en una serie de encargos privados, es difícil de decir. Dzheknavarov dijo a la prensa que Ucrania que puede pasar hasta dos semanas de trabajo en una sola pieza.
