Germany | With strong industrial support and new exhibition formats, LIGNA 2027 consolidates a high level of reservations eight months after its opening
The worlds leading trade fair for the wood industry will take place in Hannover from May 10 to 14, 2027 without any holiday interruptions. The incorporation of dynamic proposals such as LIGNA.Builds and LIGNA.TruckStop drives the participation of technology giants, input suppliers and new firms in the sector.
The international fair LIGNA 2027 is registering an extremely favorable pace of organization ahead of its next edition, which will take place in Hannover, Germany, from May 10 to 14, 2027. For the first time, the meeting will take place continuously without holidays or long weekends in the calendar. At the end of September 2026, the exhibition already has approximately 1,100 confirmed exhibitors occupying 100,000 square meters of surface, a figure very close to the final result of 2025, when 1,425 exhibitors were registered on 113,832 square meters. The global director of LIGNA at Deutsche Messe AG, Stephanie Wagner, highlighted that the entire industry is fully represented in the key segments and that, even in a complex economic context where some companies readjusted the size of their spaces, new players from related sectors have been added. The main driver of this growth comes from two innovative formats that debut at the show: LIGNA.Builds and LIGNA.TruckStop. The first of them focuses on modern, industrialized construction with wood and includes the execution of a live demonstration work on the roof of the Expo, located in the outdoor area of ??the property. This attraction has brought together traditional machinery technological partners such as HOMAG Group (along with WEINMANN, System TM and KALLESOE), HUNDEGGER, SCM and WEINIG, adding on this occasion prominent suppliers of materials and inputs such as EGGER Group and WÜRTH. The space project is being developed in collaboration with holzbau.tech from Rosenheim and the academic support of the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Rosenheim. The company will apply its extensive experience in timber-framed construction in Hannover, replicating the experience of a residential development it is carrying out near its facilities, which encompasses three multi-family buildings, semi-detached houses and a seminar hall. In parallel, the LIGNA.TruckStop format experiences a dynamic expansion by integrating directly with the live work by LIGNA.Builds. This strategic alliance attracted new brands such as Bosch Powertools, fischer, HÄFELE, HECO SCHRAUBEN and SPAX, which join established firms such as FESTOOL and Makita. With this alignment, the TruckStop area almost triples its exhibition area and doubles the number of participating companies, consolidating itself as an interactive showcase for the carpentry and joinery trades. Wagner comments: LIGNA.TruckStop enters in its next phase at LIGNA 2027 and is developing very dynamically. With new exhibitors such as Bosch Powertools, fischer, HÄFELE, HECO SCHRAUBEN and SPAX, along with established brands such as FESTOOL and Makita, the format almost triples its exhibition space and doubles the number of participating companies. A key success factor is the direct integration of TruckStop into the live LIGNA.Builds construction site. This provides exhibitors with high individual visibility and directly connects their solutions to the key themes of modern timber construction as well as the needs of the carpentry and joinery trades. This combination of product presentation, practical relevance and thematic integration makes TruckStop increasingly attractive to exhibitors, the organization concluded.
